Ans. All types of Credit/Debit Cards are acceptable for bill payment. Master/Visa cards/Diners are accepted for making bill payments (Diners cards are accepted only at our website)

Q.7 How to make online payment of Bills?
Ans.

You can make online payment by visiting our website at www.tatapower-ddl.com, please select "Pay your bill online" option at home page. Further, you can choose to pay through any of the options like Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards or Prepaid Cards like ITZ Cash or Oxicash available on TPDDL website. Q.8 What options are available in case a customer wants to check his/her previous payment details?
Ans. To know about the payments or any other detail related to a Connection, customers are requested to register their CA. no (k. no.) with www.tatapower-ddl.com . Once the registration is done, customer may log in to his account and select the options available as per requirement like Account Information, Billing details, Consumption details, Payment History and Duplicate bill. Also, customer can get last 5 payment details by sending following SMS TO 56070: "TPDDL PMNT XXXXXXXXXXX" (X denotes 11 digits CA No.).
Q.9 Where can a consumer approach to register his/her payment related complaint?
Ans.

Consumer has various below options to register the complaint:

  1. Visit the nearest consumer care center.
  2. Call on Tata Power-DDL 24 hrs Sampark Kendra Ph-66404040
  3. Visit Tata Power-DDL website www.tatapower-ddl.com
Q.10 When will my online payment be updated in my account?
Ans. Online payment shall be reflected in your account within 4 hours of payment.
Q.11 What are the consequences, if I have not paid my bill?
Ans. Disconnection Notice is served on non-payment bills and if the dues are not paid even after notice period, connection will be disconnected.
Q.12 What is the rate of Late Payment Surcharge (LPSC) and how it is charged to Consumer?
Ans. LPSC is charged @ 18% Per Annum and computed on basis of No. of days i.e. from due date of bill payment to date of payment.
Q.13 What if my cheque bounces?
Ans. Rs. 200/- will be charged towards Cheque handling charges. Further, LPSC @ 18% will also be levied till we get cleared amount.
Q.14 Can I get back my original cheque?
Ans. Original documents cannot be returned. However photocopy/scanned copy of the bounced Cheque can be given by contacting customer  care  centre/Sampark Kendra 011-66404040 / customercare@tatapower-ddl.com

Q.15 How should I pay, if my cheque bounces?
Ans.

As per new directive issued by DERC for FY 2014-2015, if difference between 2 Cheque bounce (whether successive or not) of a customer is less than 91 days, than payment through Cheque will not be allowed for a period of next six months from the date of 2nd Cheque bounce. In such case, customer can pay by other modes of payment like Cash, DD, Online modes like Net Banking, Credit/Debit Cards etc.

Q.16 What does the term NACH refer to?
Ans. NACH (National Automated Clearing House) is a fund clearing platform set up by NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) similar to the existing ECS (Electronic Clearing System) of RBI. To Know more about NACH and its benefits, activation/deactivation process, Please Click Here
Q.17 What is advance payment scheme?
Ans. Advance Payment is an option provided to the consumers against the anticipated bills where an interest @ 0.5% above SBI Saving Bank Interest is paid half yearly on the balance amount lying unadjusted with Tata Power-DDL. Minimum amount that can be deposited is Rs.5000/- & multiples of Rs.1000/- thereafter or six month billing of the consumer, whichever is higher with no maximum limit For more details please Click Here

Ans.
