To ensure health and safety of students, Tata Power-DDL installs RO Water Plant at Delhi Govt. School, AlipurDate : Sep 24, 2020

• RO plant to provide purified drinking water to over 7000 students and staff members daily

• Company has installed a total of 74 RO Water Plants across its area of operations benefiting 3.6 lakhs people on a daily basis  

• Under its initiative ‘Harit Ek Pehel’ company also organised a tree plantation drive

TATA Power-DDL has always believed in working towards the upliftment of underprivileged sections of the society and providing them with basic amenities like clean drinking water. In line with the same, it has installed an Anytime RO plant at  Delhi Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Alipur. 

The inauguration of the RO plant  was jointly done by Mr. Sharad Chauhan, Hon’ble MLA (Narela) and Subrata Das, Head (Operation & Safety), Tata Power-DDL, in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Javed Qamar, DDE (NW-A), Dr. (Ms) Renu, DDE, Zone-X (NW-A), School Principal,  Senior Officials of the company and School Management Committee Members (SMC), followed by a plantation drive in the school by Tata Power-DDL’s Social Innovation Group's-Sanjeevani Team.

The company as part of its initiative to provide clean drinking water in Delhi Government Schools across its operational areas in North Delhi dedicated this RO plant with a capacity of purifying 500 lts. water per hour catering to the requirements of potable water of more than 7000 students and staff members at the school. This will essentially prove beneficial once the schools reopen post pandemic. Tata Power-DDL has installed 74 such RO Plants till date at Educational Institutions, JJ Clusters (slums), Delhi Metro Stations, which directly benefit more than 3.6 Lakh people every day.
