As a part of Its initiative to provide Clean Drinking Water in Delhi, Tata Power-DDL installs 2 RO plants in Delhi’s Government SchoolsDate : Aug 31, 2021

Reiterating its belief of giving back to the society by working towards empowering the impoverished sections and enriching the quality of life of the communities it operates in, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, a pioneering power utility supplying electricity to a populace of over 7 million in North Delhi inaugurated 2 RO plants at Delhi Government Schools, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, F- Block, Indepruri and Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, C-Block, Naraina, respectively. The RO plant at Inderpuri has been inaugurated by Tata Power-DDL in association with Tata Power Trading Company Limited (TPTCL).

The plants were inaugurated by Mr. Raghav Chadha, Hon’ble MLA, Rajinder Nagar in the presence of Mr. Ganesh Srinivasan, CEO, Tata Power-DDL, and Mr. Amit Kumar Garg, CEO, Tata Power Trading Company Ltd.

With a capacity of 500 litre per Hour (LPH), the water purifiers help remove high TDS, fluorides and other contaminations and provide access to clean and safe drinking water to over 10,000 students of both the schools.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Ganesh Srinivasan, CEO, Tata Power-DDL said, “Access to safe drinking water has been a serious problem for India, especially in rural areas where lack of potable water has resulted in sanitation and health problems. In line with our philosophy of reaching out to the communities we operate in, we have undertaken various initiatives for improving the quality of life of our consumers residing in JJ Clusters. With this inauguration, we are working towards bringing about holistic development of the communities we cater to by providing them with basic amenities like clean drinking water.”

Under its Saathi (CSR) program, Tata Power-DDL has installed 83 RO Water Plants in the JJ clusters (slums), resettlement colonies, Educational Institutions and Delhi Metro stations for the benefit of the inhabitants, students and metro commuters.
