Tata Power Delhi Distribution Organizes ‘SANGAM’ – NGO Meet 2019Date : Mar 03, 2019


•The RO plant to provide purified drinking water to over 2500 residents of Chuna Bhatti daily

•Company has installed a total of 11 RO Water Plants at  various JJ Clusters spread across its area of operations; benefitting over 40,000 people everyday 

The event saw participation by beneficiaries from partnering NGOs who took part in cultural programs like dance, song and skit on the subject of Unity in Diversity India, Women Empowerment, Eve Teasing, along with Open House Sharing of Experiences by Beneficiaries.

During the event, WLC Instructors, Coordinators, ABHAs and VT shining cases were felicitated for their contribution and work done by them toward community development.

Tata Power-DDL has embraced several community development and welfare initiatives to educate, empower and to bring transformation in the lives of illiterate/uneducated women, students and youth who all are the occupants of JJ clusters of North and North West Delhi its Social Innovation Program named Saathi. The initiatives are benefiting these underprivileged individuals and giving them a stage to accomplish their dreams.

Addressing the participants at the meet, Mr Sanjay Banga, CEO, Tata Power-DDL said, “In consonance with the Tata Group's ethos, Tata Power-DDL is connecting with the underprivileged section of the community through its various social innovation initiatives. We are working closely with our partnering NGOs to bring in lasting changes in the society, with special focus on women empowerment and youth oriented initiatives.”
