Job Description
Responsibility:
1. Short Term / Long Term Demand – Supply gap projections and highlighting the issues & finalizing sourcing strategy.
2. Arrangements for short-term power to meet shortages and for the sale of surplus power through short-term bilateral purchases, power exchanges, sales, and banking.
3. Arrangement of Renewable and Green Power/RECs to meet RPO.
4. Interface with SLDC, NRLDC, DTL and other utilities on Inter and Intra state power transaction, Bulk power exchange and UI monitoring along with interfacing for open access in inter-state Transmission and Trading (Bi-lateral/Power Exchange).
Power sourcing at commercially viable and DERC approved rates.
5. Preparation of daily/fortnightly/monthly MIS for top management and preparation of MIS as and when required by different dept./HOGs/HODs/other outside agencies.
6. Validation of REA issued by RLDC/SLDC and analysis of bills for Energy charges, Wheeling Charges, System Operation Charges, STOA charges, and any receivables and interfacing with Finance Group.
7. Preparation of Energy Bill of Solar Power Generating Stations.
8. Preparation of Power purchase/sale/banking details MIS for submission in the ARR to DERC and interfacing with DERC for verification of the same with actual bills
9. Analysis of new Tariff petitions submitted by Generation & Transmission Utilities to CERC/DERC and submission comments/views to safeguard Company’s interest.
10. To perform any other work allocated by Top Management based on Organization requirements.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
1. B. E. (Electrical) & MBA in Power Management (preferable) with a minimum 3-7 years of experience.
2. Knowledge of Electricity ACT, Rules and Regulations issued by CERC, DERC, MoP, Govt of Delhi, Tariff orders related matters and other statutory frugality process.
3. Thorough knowledge of Departmental work, its procedures and practices, DERC norms.
4. Must be proficient in using various IT tools i.e. Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SAP and other in house developed applications.
5. Must possess and exhibit strong interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills.
6. Must possess strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
7. Must be able to deal complex situations independently.
Skills /Competencies Required: Knowledge of Electricity ACT, Rules and Regulations issued by CERC, DERC, MoP, Govt of Delhi, Tariff orders, DERC norms, SAP, MS Office, strong interpersonal Skills, Deal complex situations independently, verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
Additional Information: B. E. (Electrical) & MBA-Power Management (preferable) with a minimum 3-7 years of experience.
