To helpconsumers beat the heat while promoting energyconservation, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL) hasre-launched its popular ‘5 Star AC scheme’ for its customers in North.

Features of ‘5 Star AC Scheme’
· Special rates on exchanging non-star ACs with BEE 5 star or 3 star Inverter ACs only valid for Window and Inverter Split ACs of 1.5 ton
· Consumers can avail the scheme at Tata Power-DDL Customer Care Centres with the following documents:
o Latest Electricity Bill
o Address Proof
· Scheme is available on first come first serve basis |
Underthe scheme, Tata Power-DDL consumers canexchange their non-star ACs for 1.5 Ton BEE 5 star rated Window or Inverter Split ACs and avail a discount ofup to 45% on MRP for various models of ACs from Voltas. The scheme is open forall segments of consumers.
Besidesproviding discount on the market price, the scheme would also help consumerssave up on their electricity bills annually depending upon their usage, therebyoffering them twin advantages.
TataPower-DDL consumers can avail the scheme against their CA numbers mentioned inthe electricity bills. There is no cap on the numberof ACs that can be purchased under this scheme.
The scheme has beentargeted at households as the domestic sector accounts for almost 50% of energyconsumption in Delhi and ACs power consumption is a key component of the same.It is estimated that 5 star rated ACs can help reduce electricity consumptionsharply. In fact, according to estimates, almost around 50 percent of Delhi''spower demand in summers is because of the cooling load involving airconditioners, coolers and fans.

Thebuyback price of old ACs will be Rs. 2500. Installation charges will beRs. 200 for window ACs and Rs. 500 for split AC. All these models will havewarranty of 5 years. The scheme is valid till 31st December 2019.
