Tata Power Delhi Distribution Installs Any Time Water RO Plant at Chuna Bhatti JJ Cluster, Kirti NagarDate : Aug 24, 2018

•The RO plant to provide purified drinking water to over 2500 residents of Chuna Bhatti daily

•Company has installed a total of 11 RO Water Plants at  various JJ Clusters spread across its area of operations; benefitting over 40,000 people everyday 

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power-DDL) has been continuously striving for the upliftment and improving the quality of life of communities it operates in. Taking another step in this direction, Tata Power-DDL has installed an Any Time Water RO plant to provide clean and safe drinking water to the residents of Chuna Bhatti JJ Cluster, Kirti Nagar. 

The plant was inaugurated by Mr Sanjay Banga, CEO, TATA Power-DDL, in the presence of Shri Shiv Charan Goel, Hon’ble MLA (Moti Nagar), Delhi, along with the members of TATA Power DDL’s Self Help Groups (SHGs) and the residents of the colony.

The RO plant has a capacity to purify and dispense 500 litres of water every hour and would provide potable water to around 2500 people residing in the colony at a nominal charge of 10 paise per litre. The day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Any Time Water (ATW) RO plant will be managed by members of the Self Help Groups (SHGs). 

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Sanjay Banga, CEO, Tata Power-DDL said, “We are happy to contribute towards providing clean and safe drinking water to lakhs of people through our Any Time Water RO plants. The initiative is in line with our philosophy of reaching out to the communities we operate in, by transforming lives in all possible ways. The major highlight of these plants are that they are being completely managed by the women members of Tata Power-DDL’s Self-Help Groups functioning in several JJ cluster communities in our area of distribution. Tata Power-DDL has installed a total of 11 Any Time Water (ATW) RO plants to provide safe and clean drinking water to JJ clusters and resettlement colonies.” 

It has also set up 5 RO Water Plants for commuters at Delhi Metro Stations and 35 Water Plants at various Government schools and educational institutions across North Delhi.
